The Words Challenge Resources
30 Days of Speaking Life
October 22–November 20, 2026
Welcome! This is your place to download your workbook, find the daily videos, and return to encouragement throughout The Words Challenge.
Together, we’re learning how to recognize harmful thinking and self-talk, examine it in light of God’s Word, and build a daily habit of speaking words that encourage and edify ourselves and others.
Be sure to bookmark this page so you can easily return each day.
What we’re working toward
Over these 30 days, you’ll learn how to bring harmful thinking and self-talk under the authority of God’s Word and practice speaking words that encourage and edify yourself, your children, and others.
That can look like catching a harsh thought before accepting it as truth, correcting your child with patience and care, or returning to a Scripture-based declaration when discouragement plays on repeat in your head.
Our goal is to develop a daily habit you can carry into your relationships and responsibilities long after the challenge ends.
Start Here
1. Download your workbook.
Save the PDF below. You can print it or read the prompts on your device and write your responses in a notebook. Begin with the welcome, instructions, and opening reflection.
2. Read your daily email.
Each morning during the challenge, your email will guide you through the day’s Scripture, devotional thought, declaration, prayer, and action.
3. Set aside 5–10 minutes to reflect.
Turn to the corresponding day in your workbook. Bring your thoughts honestly before God and take the day’s small step. Most reflections can remain private; some days invite you to encourage someone else.
4. Watch the video for additional encouragement.
I’ll record and share a short video each day on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. Choose whichever platform works best for you—you don’t need to watch on all three.
Your morning email will arrive before that day’s video is recorded. If the video isn’t available when you visit, you can begin with your email and workbook and return later.
Joining after October 22?
Begin with the current day so you can follow along with us. You’ll receive the remaining scheduled challenge emails through November 20. You can revisit earlier workbook pages and published videos whenever you’d like.

Registration includes challenge emails, Lisa’s regular newsletter, and updates about Chrissy Brown and the Trouble with Words. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Your workbook includes Scripture references, declarations, prayers, and space to reflect for all 30 days, along with an opening reflection and a closing page.
Use it to notice patterns in your words, record what God is teaching you, and return to the truths you want to remember.

Let’s continue the conversation after the challenge
My upcoming children’s book, Chrissy Brown and the Trouble with Words, shares the heart behind this challenge: caring about the words children hear, believe, and carry with them.
The story explores words, identity, and self-worth, offering a way to begin conversations about hurtful words and the encouragement children need.
As the challenge continues, I’ll share more about the book and its planned November 24, 2026 release.
You don’t need to buy the book to participate in The Words Challenge.
I can’t wait to share this incredible, life-giving story with you.
With love,
Lisa
